Mediator Profile 

Jacob C. Gonzales is a business trial lawyer who mediates commercial, real estate, and partnership disputes. Over more than two decades he has handled high-stakes litigation involving real estate, partnerships, shareholder rights, fiduciary duty, corporate governance, employment, and contracts, and has participated in more than 100 mediations as lead counsel.

Having represented both plaintiffs and defendants, Jacob understands the competing perspectives, litigation risks, and practical considerations that influence settlement decisions.

Jacob served as Judge Pro Tem for the Orange County Superior Court and has tried 18 cases to verdict or judgment. He brings a practical, trial-tested view of risk to every mediation.

 

Before founding Pacific Resolution and his own boutique litigation firm, Jacob was a partner at Weintraub Tobin, where he chaired the firm’s litigation department. Prior to that, he was a partner with Waldron & Bragg LLP, a respected Newport Beach litigation boutique.

He continues to represent a wide range of clients—from established companies to family-run businesses—in state and federal courts throughout California. Jacob is a native of Orange County and a graduate of Mater Dei High School and the USC Gould School of Law.
